T.O.P.S. Early Childhood Learning

The T.O.P.S. Early Childhood Learning program is for Oakland preschool-age students who are eligible for Special Education and Related Services. The school district offers half-day programs and a full-day ABA-based preschool program. Related services in the areas of Speech/Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and behavioral support are available if a student qualifies for services.

The building theme is “Grow with Us” and the program provides a warm and caring environment for our students. The program provides students with opportunities to grow and learn, which empowers them to be confident, creative, and caring learners through play-based, hands-on investigations to become lifelong critical thinkers.

The Creative Curriculum is one of four recommended curricula by the New Jersey Department of Education. The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, preparing children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
